Cheese Sauce and Veges

Jazz up your veges with this winter warmer!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cauliflower

  • 2-3 carrots

  • 2-3 potatoes

  • 60g butter

  • 1/4 C plain flour

  • 2 C milk

  • 1 C grated cheese


Method

  1. Bring a medium-large pot of water to boil, salt.

  2. Prep vegetables; Cauliflower, Carrots and Potatoes, cut to liking. Boil for 8-10 mins. Drain.

  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour. Cook, stirring for 2 minutes or until bubbling. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk. Return to heat. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens slightly. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Combine vegetables in a lightly greased, oven dish. Pour over cheese sauce. If desired, spread extra cheese over top. Grill for 5 minutes or until browned. Serve.
